This book describes life in the East Village, during iO's childhood, perfectly. Amazing, brave, account of of a life that could have easily succumbed to the mean streets. Hard way to grow up, however, this tough kid's street education is worth more...

I especially appreciate the foundational breathing approach. As well as using older characters who find love I really enjoy the humor and spunk shown throughout this and her other stories. If you read this book without reading the author's note, well that's your bad, but I bet you still thought it was hot. The ThesesI will discuss the twelve in order. 30 years in law enforcement and 2 college degrees in criminal justice I can attest that he has gotten the criminal mentality down pretty well.
