Men are assigned to tasks that aid the Society, Women, too. His love of reading lead him to found his own publishing company. All of this being said, I highly recommend this story for fans of the Frost Chronicles and fans of Kate Avery Ellison's writing. They were not "perfect" or "pure" like I've always thought of them. Golden has succeeded in creating a story I found so fluid I was able to get immersed in this world while understanding all the events that were happening.
