Yet this is pretty much the entirety of the book. Like its predecessor, “Truth” could use some editing just to tighten it up, it feels overly long. The printings are almostwashed-out you have to guess as what some of the words are. The more sides one has, the better. His book is a valuable distillation culled from the vast amount of literature on the subject available in French, and it provides a wealth of intriguing detail about daily life and contemporary attitudes. Overall it was an interesting read.
