No one goes there by choice, but Kate Carlsson has The Gift of being able to see and talk to the spirits of the dead. Those two felt more real and believable to me. Each chapter is very detailed and offers several examples of each topic. This book is very easy to read.

I only finished it to keep from wasting the few dollars I paid for it. It is very well written and interesting.
